Closing News- Sensex rising, Nifty hits at 10,736, Tomorrow stocks tips

Closing Updates- Benchmark indices clocked strong gains with Sensex rising over 416.27 points to 35322.38, while Nifty reclaimed 30736.15 up by 121.80 points on Thursday amidst expectations of a improved GDP data due later in the day. 

Strong buying momentum picked up in the oil and gas, banking and FMCG stocks. The top gainers on the NSE were Adani Ports, HDFC Bank, Indusind Bank, Tech Mahindra and M&M with gains of up to 5.10 percent. On the other hand, Sun Pharma, Tat Motors, Dr. Reddys, Hero Moto Corp and Hindalco Industries were among lowers of up to 2.47 percent. 

HDFC Bank made a star performance by contributing 47 points to the Nifty rally. HDFC bank shares ended at Rs. 2,130 up by 4.65 percent on NSE. 

Nifty Bank, Nifty financial service and Nifty private bank indices registered gains of over 2 percent, whereas Nifty Pharma, Nifty realty and Nifty media indices declined up to 1 percent. Nifty Auto and Nifty metal indices also settled in the red.  

On NSE, 22 stocks hit 52-week highs on Thursday, while 87 stocks hit 52-week lows on Thursday.

Closing Updates: Sensex Jumped 240 Pts, Nifty High, Finding Top stocks in Trade

Sensex jumped over 240 points while the Nifty was fails to touch 10,700 in closing trade amidst healthy buying in banking, auto and capital goods on the starting week Monday. 

The BSE Sensex hit 240.61 points to close at 35,165.48 while the NSE Nifty spiked 83.50 points at 10,688.65. The rally was driven by Sun Pharma, Coal India, Larsen and Toubro, Asian Paints, State bank of India, and Maruti by rising upto 7.11 percent. The top losers were TCS, Power Grid and Infosys. 

Shares of Piramal Enterprises Ltd rose 1.89% to Rs. 2,450 after the company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs. 3,944 crore in the Q4FY18, V/s profit of Rs. 311 crore on Year-on-Year. 

Shares of RCom (Reliance Communications Ltd) ended near 7 percent on closing, after NCLAT fixed an urgent hearing against insolvency order tomorrow, 29 May 2018 The stock ended at Rs. 15.30 apiece, up by 6.99% on NSE. 

Shares of Adani Enterpirses Ltd surged by 2.88% on NSE at Rs.128.40, after the Company announced that it has sold stake in its arm Adani Chendipada Mining.  

Meantime, Gold prices fell below the Rs 32,000-level, shedding Rs 405 to Rs 31,965 per 10 gram at the bullion market, Monday, on account of a weak trend overseas. 

The Indian currency, Rupee, was trading at Rs 67.38 against the American currency in the afternoon while Oil prices were trading at USD 75.40.

Stocks on rise in Market, Tomorrow best trading stocks

Share benchmarks reported strong gains from losses in the previous session led by stellar gains in IT stocks and Bank Stocks. The BSE Sensex rose 0.93% or 318 points to 34,663 and the NSE Nifty50 index zoomed 0.8% or 83 points to 10,514. Continued buying by domestic institutions in equity market supported investor’s sentiment. 

The Nifty IT index rose 2.31%, its biggest intraday gain in about one month, and has gained 18% thus far this year. Shares of Infosys Ltd zoomed 2.96% and TCS climbed 3.31%. 

Shares of Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) and Oil India Ltd plunged over 4 and 7% respectively, after PTI reported that the govt may levy a windfall tax on oil producers to reduce fuel prices. 

Banking Stocks such as Axis Bank, State bank of India, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank also rose over 2 percent in trade. 

Tata Motors Shares slumped 3.41% on closing after company posted that its Net Profit Declined to 50 percent. 

NSE Gainers and  Losers: Bharti Airtel up 4.34%, TCS up 3.31%, Infosys up 2.90%, Axis bank up 2.92% and Sun Pharma up 2.53%, as top five Nifty Gainers. 

Tata Motors down 6.33%, GAIL India down 5.45%, ONGC down 4.39%, Grasim down 2.52% and Hindustan Petroleum Corp down 1.10% as top five Losers on NSE.

Markets end marginally higher, Nifty top gainers and losers

Stock Markets ended marginally higher on Tuesday after falling in the last five trading sessions on account o value buying by investors. The BSE Sensex rose 35 points or 0.1 percent to 34,651 and the NSE Nifty 50 index advanced 20 points or 0.19 percent or 10,537 on closing. 

Top gainers in Sensex were Dr Reddy's, Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors, State Bank of India, and Coal India, rising up to 6.30 percent, while TCS, Asian paints, Axis Bank were losers. 

Nifty Top Gainers in sequence namely Dr. Reddys, Bajaj Finserve, SBI, Tata Motors and Bajaj Auto. On the other hand IOC, UltraTech Cement, Bharti Infratel, Indusind bank and Asian Paints lost the most. 

Shares of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOC) ended at Rs. 159.30 down by 3.54% on NSE, after the company posted a profit of Rs.5218.10 crore for the quarter ending March 31, 2018. 

India’s largest lender State bank of India (SBI) rose 4.60 percent on NSE, in spite of the lender posting a second consecutive quarterly loss. 

Shares of Tata Motors Ltd ended 4.09 percent higher on NSE after China said it will slash the import duty on passenger cars to 15 pc.

Sensex slides 232 points, Nifty closes below 10,600, Tomorrow Stock Tips

Stock Markets in India were seen negative trading momentum throughout the day and ended well below the crucial level. Investors were concerned after BJP's BS Yeddyurappa resigned, paving the way for the JD(S)-Congress combines to outline the government. 

The BSE Sensex tanked over 232 points, down 7 percent, while the NSE Nifty closed below 10,600 amid selling in sectors such as banking, healthcare, auto and consumer durables. The BSE MidCap index and SmallCap ended the day down 1.6 percent, and 2.2 percent, respectively. The Sensex reached at a peak of 34973.95 and a bottom of 34593.82 points in trade intraday. 

The fall was led by NTPC, HUL, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Wipro, HDFC, Bajaj Auto, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, HeroMoto Corp, Yes Bank, Dr Reddy and Sun Pharma by falling upto 4.6 percent. 

NSE sectorally, the Nifty PSU Bank index advanced 2.66 percent led by a pickup in the shares of Bank of India, Punjab National Bank and Union Bank of India. However, the Nifty Realty index fell 3.29 percent, while Nifty Pharma and Nifty metal indices went down 2.78 percent and 1.68 percent respectively.

Closing Updates- Sensex plunges near 239 Points as fuel Prices Surge

The BSE Sensex ended lower by 238.76 points at 35,149.12 and the NSE Nifty down 58.50 points at 10,682.70 as concern over whether the BJP will prove majority in Karnataka knocked investor mood. Moreover, worries over rising interest rates and petrol, diesel prices continued to flatten markets. 

Shares of IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Yes Bank, Axis Bank, Asian Paint, Reliance, NTPC, Adani Ports, HDFC, Bharti Airtel, Tata Steel and ITC led the fall by dropping upto 2.40 percent. 

In the Nifty-50 pack of NSE, shares of Bajaj Finance and Bajaj FinServe were the top gainers based on their quarterly numbers. Coal India, Sun Pharma and Bharti Infratel were also toppers in NSE. 

Shares of Reliance Communications (RCom), hit high volatility after reports that the company was eyeing at a court settlement with Ericsson. However, RCom stocks surged 56.87 percent at Rs. 16.55 on BSE, while on NSE the share rose by 65.71 percent at Rs. 17.40. 

Shares of Tata Steel ended lower by 1.76%, at Rs. 610.30, reacting to its quarterly numbers. Shares of Taj GVK Hotels & Resorts Limited gained 1.90 percent to Rs 227.65 after the Company a good set of numbers for the quarter ending March 3, 2018.

Share market ends flat ahead of Karnatak elelction outcome Tomorrow

Stock markets ended flat ahead of Karnataka election outcome, which will be known on Tuesday. Unsatisfactory macro-economic data added to the cautious temperament.The BSE Sensex settled at 35,556.71 up 20.92 points while the NSE Nifty50 index ended at 10,806, up 10 points. 

Auto stocks mostly declined. Ashok Leyland (down 4.39%), Tata Motors (down 2.21%), Mahindra & Mahindra (down 2.19%), Eicher Motors (down 1.22%), Escorts Ltd (down 0.96%), TVS Motors (down 0.72%) and Maruti Suzuki (down 0.55%) declined, while Bajaj Auto (up 0.51%) and Hero MotoCorp (up 0.99%) rose, on NSE. 

Nifty Pharma and Nifty Bank indices gained 0.2 percent each while IT, Auto, FMCG, and Metal indexes fell up to 0.9%.

Stock Market end higher, Metal, IT stocks rise, Tomorrow stock tips 10 May

Equity indices settled higher backed by gains in IT shares and select bank shares. The BSE Sensex rose 103.03 points to 35,319.35. The Nifty-50 index rose 23.90 points to 10,741.70, as per closing data. 

Gains in metals, IT and banking stocks helped the market close on a positive note. Revival in banking stocks cements, TCS and Reliance pushed up indices at the end hours of trade. 

In Sector wise, IT, metals, bank and energy companies held the market higher, while pharma, PSU banks and FMCG were a drag. The market breadth is negative with 1174 advances, against a decline of 1496 shares, while 144 shares are unchanged. 

Major gainers were Tata Motors, Asian Paints, and Titan, while Sun Pharma, NTPC, BPCL and UltraTech Cement were losing sheen. 

Among specific stocks, Tata Motors rose 3% on the back of higher global sales for Jaguar Land Rover, while Hindalco Industries ended 0.10 percent lower at Rs. 238.85

Markets Closed fall, Nifty ends below 10,700, Top Gainers and Losers

Stocks ended in the negative zone on Thursday, weighed by ITC and Infosys amid a fall in the global markets. Heavy selling momentum picked up on the capital goods, auto stocks, and consumer durables also weighed on the indices. 

Continued capital outflows by foreign funds and weaker quarterly numbers by InterGlobe Aviation (down 10.57%), and some other companies also added to the sentiments. 

The BSE Sensex traded lower by 73.28 points to 35,103.14, whreas the NSE Nifty-50 fell 38.40 points to close at 10,679.65. BSE MidCap declined 1.16% and SmallCap fell 0.84% each. 

Sixteen out of 19 sectoral indices compiled by the BSE ended lower with realty, capital goods, IT, teck and industrials losing over 1 percent. 

IT, FMCG stocks, L&T and Reliance Industries Limited pushed the market lower, but buying in HDFC, ICICI Bank and metal stocks capped losses. 

The stock of MRF Limited declined 3.39% at Rs 77,045 on BSE on Thursday after the company announced its fourth-quarter results. 

Sun Pharma, NTPC, Tata Steel, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank were top gainers, on the other hand Wipro, Kotak Bank, Asian Paints, L&T, Hindustan Unilever and Coal India were the top losers.

Closing Updates- Stock Market settles lower in choppy trade

Indian share markets halted their 3-day up-move as gains triggered by Kotak Mahindra Bank, HDFC Bank and ITC, amidst US Federal view on interest rates, inflation and the economy. The BSE Sensex closed at 35,176.42 up by 16 points while the NSE Nifty50 index fell 21 points to 10,718.05. 

Shares of ITC, HDFC twins, Reliance Industries Limited and Kotak Mahindra Bank gained up to 4%. On the other hand, shares of Vedanta, Tata Steel, HCL Technologies, Yes Bank fall. 

Auto stocks fell with Escorts Ltd (down 1.80%) and Ashok Leyland (down 1.82%), Maruti Suzuki (-0.79%), Hero Motor Corp (-1.91%), Mahindra and Mahindra (-1.34%) fell. 

FMCG Company Marico Limited fell 4.79% on Wednesday as the company’s consolidated net profit edged up 7% year-on-year.  

Top five Sensex gainers were Kotak Mahindra Bank, ITC, Asian Paints, HDFC and HDFC Bank, while the top losers include Tata Steel Ltd, ICICI Bank, Hindustan Uni Lever, Sun Pharma and State bank of India. 

Nifty Metal index fell 3.43 percent, followed by Nifty realty 2.00 percent, Nifty PSU 2.49 percent and Nifty infrastructure 0.67 percent.
