The market ended lower for third consecutive session on tuesday, due to late sell-off after correction in global markets. Equity benchmark indices opened off day positive note due to short covering but down in European stocks drove the market decline in last hours of session. The 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 70.58 points or 0.25% at 28223.70, it was touched a high of 28,432.74 and touch a low of 28,179.34.
The 50-share NSE Nifty index declined 16.65 points or 0.19% at 8706.40, it was touched a high of 8.768.50 and touch a low of 8,690.50.
The market rangebound trade to continue ahead of expiry of September future & option on Thursday and RBI monetary policy in the next week.
Nifty Top gainers- AuroPharma, TCS, Lupin, Yes bank, Ambuja Cements, Asian paints, HCL Tech, Wipro, Hindustan unilever, Infosys.
Nifty Top Losers- Adani ports, Hindalco, Bharti Airtel, BPCL, LT, Tata Power, Bank of baroda, Tata Mtrdvr, Gail, InfraTel.
