Closing Update- The 30-share Sensex closed down 105.61 points or 0.38% at 27836.50, it was touched a high of 28048.70 and touch a low of 27735.87.
The 50-share Nifty index ended falls 23.60 points or 0.28% at 8541.40, it was touched a high of 8594.80 and touch a low of 8510.05.
The BSE Midcap gained 0.09 per cent at 12125.21 and The BSE Smallcap index down 0.74 percent at 11979.69.
IT Major Infosys Quarterly net profit down by 4.5 per cent sequentially to Rs 3,436 crore and revenue increased 1.4 per cent to Rs 16782 Crore.
Nifty Top Gainers- Tata steel 3.53%, Bharti Airtel 3.22%, IDEA 2.83%, HDFC 2.79%, BOSCH LTd, Tata motors 1.64%, Adani ports 1.57%, Eichermot 1.50%, Hindalco 1.33%.
Nifty Top Losers- Infosys 8.96%,TCS 3.05%, Wipro 2.64%, Tech-mahindra 2.54%, Auro Pharma 2.17%, HCL Tech 1.76%, BHEL 1.73%, NTPC 1.70%, Coal India 1.56%, Gail 1.29%.
