The nifty 50 share index has ends rallied over 2 per cent so far in the month of February, but nifty index still trading below January levels.
The 30 share Sensex index ended at 20986.99 up 134.52 points or 0.65%. The 50 share nifty index ended at 6239.55 up 39.50 points or 0.64%.
Among key Gail 3.63%, M&M 2.26%, Grasim 2.08%, ITC 2.00%, SunPharma 1.87%, Dr. Reddy's 1.85%, BPCL 1.50%, HCL Tech 1.51%, BHEL 1.50%, Kotak bank 1.44% were top nifty gainers today.
NMDC 3.61%, Tata steel 3.15%, SSLT 2.23%, Tata power 2.04%, Indusindbk 1.40%, Ultracements 1.22%, Jindal steel 1.03%, Jp Associate 0.98%, Coal India 0.91%, DLF 0.85% were top lossers today.
The S&P BSE index Capital goods was up 0.94%, FMCG index was up 0.99%, CD index was up 0.50%, Bankex was up 0.56%, Oil & gas was up 0.41% and Metals index was down 1.80%.
