Closing update- On Thursday, The Market trade failed to hold 1 per cent rally driven by Federal Reserve meet outcome. Sensex closed flat on today due to correction in European markets. Pharma stocks, metals, HDFC group, and Reliance Industries were under pressure in last hour of trade.
The 30-share Sensex closed fell 5.11 points or 0.02% at 24677.37 after highly more than 200 points intraday, and The 50-share nifty hold 7500-mark, up 13.80 points or 0.18% at 7512.55.
The BSE Midcap index was up 0.5 per cent but Small cap index ended flat note.
Among BPCL 5.69%, Ambuja Cements 5.58%, Tech-mahindra 4.41%, Gail 3.87%, ACC 3.31%, Adani ports 3.24%, IDEA 3.15%, BHEL 3.10%, Cairn 2.36%, ONGC 2.32% top Gainers today.
Lupin 4.64%, HDFC 1.68%, M&M 1.42%, Sun Pharma 1.39%, HDFC Bank 1.33%, Cipla 1.32%, power grid 1.26%, Tata Steel 1.25%, Yes Bank 1.24%, Dr. Reddy’s 1.18% top Losers today.
