@Closing update:- The Indian stock market today strong closing, Sensex up 219 Pts and the nifty closed below its levels of 8300. About 1650 shares advanced, 1086 shares declined and 146 shares were unchanged.
The Sensex ended high 219.39 points or 0.81% at 27396.38, it was touched a high of 27482.14 and touch a low of 27073.25.
The 50-share nifty index ended up 71.80 points or 0.87% at 8285.60, it touched a high of 8308.00 and touch a low of 8185.15 in trade today.
ICICI bank 7.72%, IDEA 5.57%, Maruti 4.98%, BPCL 3.58%, Tech-mahindra 3.39%, IDFC 2.85%, Asian paints 2.46%, Cairn 2.40%, BHEL 2.39%, NTPC 2.23% while top gainers in the Nifty.
ITC 2.71%, HCL Tech 1.95%, Coal India 1.50%, Reliance 1.42%, Infosys 1.40%, ZEEL 1.30%, Gail 1.24%, ONGC 1.03%, Hindustan Unilever 0.88%, Power Grid 0.79% were top losers in the Nifty.
